The White Horse Blakeney

We’ve just returned from a lovely midweek break in Blakeney , Norfolk where we enjoyed a four night stay in The White Horse Pub. The pub had only recently changed hands but this did not detract from the friendly hospitality we received.

LOCATION – The pub is superbly located at the bottom of the high street giving you only a short walk to the quayside , restaurants , local shops and just a ten minute walk back up to the main road where the bus stops are situated.

ACCOMMODATION – I have to say and to be honest so did the owner that we were in the best room. It was room No.1 called the Bowline Room where we had a double bed , three piece suit , dressing table , separate bathroom and plenty of storage space. But to top it all off it had a fantastic view of the quayside.

BREAKFAST / DINNER

For breakfast which was included there was a good selection of cereal , yoghurt , pastries , sandwiches and cooked breakfasts along with teas and coffee. We also had dinner in the restaurant on a couple of occasions where the food was of a nice quality as was the service. The only thing I would say at the moment is that due to the recent changeover the kitchen was a bit slow. This is something I’m sure will improve.

BREAKFAST
Ham Hock Terrine
Crab Salad

This was a great place for a short break and we didn’t even have to use the car because there is the North Norfolk Coastal Path and Buses. We used the path to walk from Morston Quay to Cleo Next to the Sea. You can also use the bus to travel from Sherigham to Wells Next to the Sea. Our room was amazing the staff were very friendly and the food was good. So yes I would quite easily stay here again.
